Her knowledge of all the different schools is very impressive and her ability to suggest which schools are right for each student is incredibly helpful. We are so grateful to Jodi for guiding us through the stressful college admissions process. Jodi counseled our son, Zach, beginning in his junior year and throughout the college decision process. Not only did she help him make smart choices in selecting high school courses, but she also guided him in identifying meaningful summer experiences and internships to bolster his resume and make him stand out. During the application process, Jodi helped Zach select schools that would be a good fit – this was especially helpful in a year when it was difficult to travel and visit colleges in person – and, perhaps most importantly, she worked closely with him to hone in on his unique qualities and tell his story engagingly in his many college essays. As a result of working with Jodi, Zach was accepted to many selective universities and is attending one of his reach schools. When my daughter was a junior, she lacked direction on where she wanted to go to college, what size school she wanted, what area, etc. Jodi and Shirley spent countless hours helping her to define her goals and priorities and then developing a list of schools to visit. They really helped me cut down on conflict in the home! They gave her the direction to be successful in promoting herself to the colleges during the application process, as well as interviews, contacting faculty, and auditions. It was hard to not feel intimidated when I first entered the college search process at the end of my junior year of high school. If learning to fill out my application and cater my essays to each school seemed like huge hurdles, then finding the right school for me felt like a mountain. It wasn’t until I met Jodi Gershoni at College Unlimited that this demanding process began to make sense. Together Jodi and I created a customized list of colleges that suited my need to be both academically stimulated, in a fun environment, and receive a decent scholarship that would lighten the financial burden of my future endeavors. In addition, Jodi kept me on schedule with finishing my essays, applying for scholarships, and filing my applications, among a myriad of other tasks. Throughout this process, Jodi was a source of reliability, and I can gladly say that I’ve ended up at the school for me. I am now finishing up my second year at the College of Charleston, a school that I would never have found if it wasn’t for Jodi and College Unlimited!
